Composer Amba Klapwijk and pianist Carlota Carvalho curate an evening dedicated to contemporary solo piano and video works. Sound, faces and sea foam come together in a shared expression of vulnerability, impermanence and elusiveness in the screening of dat mij ontmoet / from the bareness of the face that meets me (2023) - a film made by Amba Klapwijk, Eli Dorsman and VidAmir. The program continues with video compositions by Eva Beunk, piano pieces by John Cage and Luciano Berio, as well as the premiere of Teder / Tenderly a work for piano, ebows and tape recording by Amba Klapwijk. This evening is hosted by Batavierhuis member Eva Beunk.
